How ADD Planner Can Help You Get Places On Time

"You're never on time!" is one of the biggest complaints leveled at people with ADD. There are many reasons why we're so often late; two of the most common are forgetting things we need and losing track of time.

ADD Planner can help with both of these.

Forgetting Things We Need

Often when we're on our way somewhere, or when we're just about to leave, we remember something important that we need. The few extra minutes it takes us to get what we've forgotten can make the difference between being on time and being late.

ADD Planner can help in two ways. You can mouseover a task to see the notes you made, for example the contact person's phone number and the meeting address:

You can also set reminders that automatically launch a webpage or file with information you need - for example, a map of the meeting location.

When the reminder comes up, you will hear "Print map for meeting" and the map website will be launched in a browser window.

Losing Track of Time

It's very common for people with ADD to lose track of time. ADD Planner provides multiple reminders to help you keep track of time. And the software includes a reusable 30-minute countdown reminder.

The countdown reminder is easy to use. Bring the "30-minute countdown reminder" task into the Project View with the Add a Template Task command. Then drag the countdown reminder from the Project View to the time you need to leave.

Using the 30-minute countdown reminder

The countdown reminder gives you spoken reminders at 30, 20, 15, 10, and 5 minutes before it's time to leave, so that you don't lose track of time. In this example, at 6:10 PM the first reminder comes up, and at 6:40 PM the last reminder tells you that you have to leave right now.
