ADD Planner Frequently Asked QuestionsPlease send questions to suggestions@addplanner.com.New! For questions on how to set up and use ADD Planner, please see the searchable Knowledge Base.
Q: I have computers at home and at work - do I have to buy two copies of ADD Planner? A: The ADD Planner End User Licensing Agreement (EULA) allows you to install one copy of ADD Planner on two computers, so you can install it on home and work computers, or desktop and laptop.
Q: I don't want co-workers to know I have ADD - do you have a version that doesn't say "ADD Planner" on it? A: The current version of ADD Planner simply says "Planner" in the program's title bar and in the taskbar. However, if you choose to put an ADD Planner shortcut on the desktop, the shortcut is labeled "ADD Planner."
Q: Does ADD Planner run on Apple Macintosh? A: ADD Planner currently runs on Windows computers only. However, for those Mac people who really want ADD Planner, we've received reports that ADD Planner will run on a Mac using iEmulator software, a low-cost Windows emulator, available at www.iemulator.com. It requires OS X 10.3.0 or later, and you must provide a copy of Windows. Note: The iEmulator Mac solution is not supported by us. This means if you try iEmulator and have a problem, we can't help you solve it – our elderly iMac can't run iEmulator. We have also had reports that iEmulator can be painfully slow on older Macs - YMMV.
Q: Do you have a free trial version? A: We currently don't offer a free trial version of ADD Planner. Instead, we have a 90-day 100% no-risk, no hassle, money-back guarantee. You can try this software risk-free, because if the program isn't right for you, we really do promptly refund your money with no hassles.
Q: How much does ADD Planner cost? A: ADD Planner can be purchased on a CD with immediate download for $59.95 or as a download only for $54.95. With shipping and handling the CD version comes to $64.00 via USPS First Class Mail, or $77.35 via Express Mail.
Q: Does ADD Planner integrate with Outlook? A: ADD Planner imports and exports scheduled tasks between ADD Planner and Outlook. Note that importing/exporting is not the same as integration between the two programs (which will come in a later release). When you import/export, the data being moved from one program overwrites what is in the other. Here is an example: When you add new scheduled tasks in Outlook, you should import the new data into ADD Planner before adding new scheduled tasks in ADD Planner, and vice versa. (If you forget, you'll simply have to reenter the new tasks in the receiving program.) With integration, changes made in either program are blended together rather than one program's data overwriting the other.
Q: Do you offer training on ADD Planner? A: ADD Planner includes both online help and tutorials on the Support page. Online and live training opportunities will offered in the future - they will be announced in "The Advantage" newsletter and on the ADD Planner News page. Q: Do you still need beta testers for ADD Planner?
A: Thank you, but no. We have a team of beta testers for ADD Planner on the PC and for the iEmulator Mac solution.
Q: The calendar only shows one day at a time. Does ADD Planner have weekly and monthly views? A: The Daily view is the default; Weekly and Monthly views are accessed from the View dropdown menu. See the Screenshots page for more information.
Q: Does ADD Planner run on a Blackberry? A: ADD Planner does not run on a Blackberry PDA.
Q: Does ADD Planner have pie charts? A: ADD Planner does not use pie charts or similar tools for balancing priorities. ADD Planner does include many features specifically designed for people with ADD which are not available in any other software. Please see the ADD Planner home page to learn about these features.
Q: Can I print ADD Planner pages to carry in my paper planner? You can print out the ADD Planner Daily Tasks List, Weekly View, Monthly View, and Project View to standard 8.5 by 11 inch paper. (Print the Weekly View and Monthly View in Landscape mode.) You can also save the Daily Tasks List and the Project View as text in the Clipboard - and from there you can paste them into a word processing program that could output to smaller page sizes. We don't support printing the Weekly View or Monthly View to any size page but 8.5 by 11 inches. Note: Appointments are printed as part of the Daily Tasks List; we do not print the Appointment Scheduler (with time slots). Also, only three tasks per date square show on the printed Monthly View, and either six tasks (on week days) or two tasks (on weekends) show on the printed Weekly View.
Q: Do colors and icons show when I print ADD Planner views? A: The Weekly View and Monthly View print in color. The Daily Tasks List and Project View print as plain text - the Daily Tasks List as a flat list and Project View as an indented list. Icons do not print in any views at this time.
Q: I tried to order and my good credit card was declined and then I got a FRAUD message - why? A: There are a number of reasons why a card will get declined:
Note: If you try re-entering a transaction within 15 minutes of the first attempt, you will get a FRAUD message. Please wait at least 15 minutes before trying to place your order again.
